Kesters Country Lodges is a farm diversification project for us – the ‘Morgan Family’ – Dad (Dave), Mum (Sue) and three sisters Vicky, Rachel and Kate. We bought Kesters in October 2021 and decided that the site was just too nice not to share even though we are all very busy with the day-to-day running of the farm. For this reason, we run the site remotely and let you come and enjoy yourselves but we are close enough to be of assistance if needed within minutes.
When we began talking about doing this project we ummed and ahhed a lot – did we have time, would we be any good at it, would it make any money and most importantly would anyone want to come? However when we stood in the field and just took in the views and surroundings and thought about what we could offer we knew it was worth it. The site is a complete escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life so definitely worth enjoying, but as we also started to look and think about all the amazing places on our doorstep we realised there is just so much to do and something for everyone. We chose to build six lodges to hopefully keep the site as a small family-run venue but also give each lodge plenty of individual space to enjoy. We all love being in the outdoors and Kesters gives you a great opportunity to embrace nature and enjoy the countryside surroundings.
We began work on the site in July 2022 and since we have had tears, laughter and plenty of hindsight but we are now proud to say we are open for business and able to share what we think is an amazing site. Everyone who has worked on the cabins has loved the tranquillity and peacefulness of the site and enjoyed watching it all come together – some have even enjoyed a stay on-site to test them out for us! We are very proud of what we have achieved and our first few guests all enjoyed themselves and left us some great feedback – our favourite being:

Our log cabins are all insulated so are super cosy all year round and very well equipped with everything you will need including luxury towels and bedding. We also welcome well-behaved dogs in all but one lodge so your four-legged friends can come along too.
